From 2015-2019, I served as editor for the INMA Ideas blog, which features case studies and thought pieces about trends in journalism, marketing, technology, and the media. In addition to writing and editing for the blog, I managed deadlines and submissions from guest blog contributors and maintained a publication schedule of at least two posts per week—doubling the frequency of posts during my first year.
INMA is a nonprofit with members in more than 70 countries. Every spring after the organization’s annual marketing awards contest, I scoured the entries to systematically identify story leads and solicit posts from hundreds of entrants. To support this process, I developed a set of google spreadsheets to efficiently track communication with potential contributors and a workflow for the INMA production team to track deadlines, art files, social media posts, and publication status of each post.
The INMA Ideas blog is members-only content. Interested in reading the blog? Please contact me for samples.
